We are Living In Perilous Times
I am shaking you, says the Lord. This is not a violent or destructive shaking; it is a gentle but persistent shaking to awaken you from the sleep of complacency and the doldrums. I am calling you to awaken from this slumber of religious routine and spiritual boredom to renewed awareness and excitement of spiritual reality. Many of you, My people, have shifted your focus from life in the Spirit to life in the flesh. It is time to renew your commitment and stir up your desire and zeal for the things of the Spirit. You are living in perilous times where the greatest peril of all is to be asleep spiritually.
Matthew 25: 1-13 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took their oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him !' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, ' No, lest there should not be enough for us and you. ' But go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us !' But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know neither the day or hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

After Service Fellowship Sunday Nights
Teens will be cooking and serving dinner on sunday nights following the evening service. Each week will be a different flavor, A love offering basket will be available for donations. Donations will be used for Church Camp this summer.
Music Lessons Offered
Anyone interested in learning how to play the guitar or drums, lessons will be given on Thursday evenings, 6 pm at the Church. The 1-hr sessions will run $15 each.

It is our heart & vision here at Metamora Church of God to serve Jesus as we reach out to our community in the surrounding areas.
The primary purpose of the ministry of Metamora Church of God is to teach the uncompromising Word of God and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ ! We strive to share God's passionate heart for the lost and hurting in the day-to-day ministry of our church.
The vision the Lord gave me was a church without division. That is, a church void of segregation because of race or economic position.
We strive to be a church without walls of denominational barriers, where God's banner over us is LOVE; a church of born again, Spirit-filled believers who are governed by the principles of God'd Word and lead a victorious life.
Daily we practice being a body of believers where the fruit of love, joy, peace longsuffering, gentlenessgoodness, faithfulness, meekness, and temperance are abundant.
We are committed to WORSHIP as a dynamic experience of the presence of God through Word, prayer & music; WELCOME as an invitation to everyone to meet Jesus Christ no matter where they are on their spiritual journey in life; GROWTH as the opportunity to increase each person's confidence and joy in Jesus through prayer, Bible study and through active service in the church, community and the world.
We believe that small things done with love will change the world.
